This winter weather has been wonky. One day its nearly 70 degrees, the next day it looks like we are trapped in a snow globe. Layers are already a winter staple, but I feel like they are even more essential this year because instead of wearing layers to keep warm, we need to wear them in order to adjust throughout the day to the current temperatures. I’m constantly throwing an extra cardigan or scarf in my bag for those just in case moments when the temp drops. And don’t even get me started on the varying temperatures in my office building. One day it’s downright balmy. The next day it is frigid. Then musty… I just never know what to expect.
This outfit was the product of a need to layer, at least a little, on one of the warmer winter days. The cobalt and gray combination is not one that I usually go for. But with the addition of the DIY t-shirt scarf it all seemed to come together.
Tip: Try color combinations that are new to you. Sometimes it is a matter of trial and error, and it is always easier to see how well something goes together when you are wearing the outfit.
